Snickerdoodle Brownies

They were so good. I really need to learn how to photograph food. I find I’m often posting about my little food successes. But this is the best I got tonight. Really doesn’t do it justice. These were divine. That’s right I said divine!! I loved everything about them. The chewy goodness, the yummy baked in cinnamon, the powdered sugar drizzle and the yummy cookie flavor in a brownie. They were divine! There is no other word for it.

Thanks Pinterest wouldn’t have even known about these without you. It was pinned from a little website called A Well Seasoned Life - Yum-O!! Click on it to get the recipe. You’ll wanna make some tonight. Promise.

Piña Colada Cobbler

Jeffrey wanted to try pineapple cobbler for dessert tonight. I wasn’t so sure about that. I was a little bit worried it wouldn’t turn out very good. Then we started coming up with ways to let me know it would be good. We talked about how it might be fun to make it into a pineapple upside down type by putting in brown sugar and maraschino cherries. Then I thought of turning into a piña colada cobbler.  Mmmmmm that was sounding good. I wanted him to put coconut pudding in the flour. But he wanted to put it on top. He won, and it was delicioso!!

Okay so I didn’t have any white chocolate chips so I broke up some of our dipping chocolates and put those in. These cookies turned out so yummy!!  The chocolate pieces were melty for a long time. They were so good.

Thanks to Jamie Cooks it Up! love her blog. She really has fun things on there and yummy desserts too.

Amaretti Cookies :)

I came home to these yummy little cookies. I was lucky to have one - most of them were gone or given away. Jeffrey made these delicious little cookies. They are made with almond & nectarine kernels ground into a paste and made into a cookie batter. Then they are rolled in sugar! Oh man they are so yummy!

Did you know that apricots are an amazing fruit?  The kernel of the apricot is high in vitamin B-17.

So, what is B-17 good for?

Well, if a person has enough B-17 they will never get cancer. So eat 7 to 10 apricot kernels every day.

Dehydrated Fruit = Yummy Food Storage ☺

Lookee what Jeff has been working on. He's been drying apricots all week. Berneen's trees were just full this year and she's been giving her apricots away. Jeff ♥LOVES♥ dried apricots. It's one of his favorite snacks. Member how he researched how to keep them pretty instead of turning brown? Well it worked! ☺

So, he decided to try a pineapple. So far so good! They have to air dry for at least 24 hours still but I think it worked out great. These dried apricots and pineapple will make great fruit food storage. Today I’m so glad Jeff likes to do things like this and that it's important to him. I ♥ it! They look so pretty and they’re turning out really yummy too.

Butterscotch Bars - Yum-O!

After our yummy treat yesterday, we needed a yummy treat tonight too. I thought of butterscotch bars. Oh, they are so yummy. Peanut Butter, rice Krispie treats with a chocolate butterscotch frosting. They are so SO yummy. I had to mix white chocolate for my side and milk chocolate for the rest of the family.

As you can see the white chocolate side was a little more than half (hahaha). But that was the side that was gone first so. . .it must have tasted better to everyone else too.

LOVE it!!  Yum-O!!

4th of July Strawberries

Okay so this year for the 4th of July, Lynda has pinned so many cute things on Pinterest that I thought I'd at least try one. Thought the 4th of July strawberries looked easy because we had everything you needed to do it.

Here's how they turned out. They were pretty to look out and kind of crazy to eat. But it was a fun new thing to try ;)
